Kit Whol’s simpler Creole Seasoning ToTry

This mix has fewer ingredients and should be hotter as the peppers would be more concentrated. It is provided on page 167 of our copy of her New Orleans Classis Creole Recipes. It also does not have the dried oregano, dried thyme, white pepper, and dashes of chili powder and cumin powder that is in a blend we like inspired by another one of her recipes. That more complex blend is here at this site.

  • 1/2 t  salt
  • 1/2 t  cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 t  sweet paprika
  • 1/2 t  black pepper
  • 1/2 t  onion powder
  • 1/2 t  dried oregano
  • 1/2 t  dried thyme
