Warming Frozen Boudin

1/18/2026 – We had two links of boudin from Bertrans that were frozen. Thawed them, then warmed them using the process below that came from here. Their form and consistency were like they had never been frozen.

Now that we’ve covered the importance of warming up boudin in the oven, let’s dive into the basic techniques you’ll need to get started. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 300°F (150°C) or 325°F (165°C) for a more intense heat.
  2. Wrap the boudin: Wrap the boudin tightly in foil, making sure to seal the edges to prevent moisture from escaping.
  3. Place on a baking sheet: Position the wrapped boudin on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  4. Bake for 20-30 minutes: Place the boudin in the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  5. Let it rest: Remove the boudin from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
